Mela, a vibrant and inspiring individual, hails from the vibrant neighborhood of Hackney. Growing up, her idols were none other than the legendary Naomi Campbell and the trailblazing Beverley Peele, strong, powerful women who left an indelible mark on the fashion industry. These icons served as beacons of inspiration for Mela from a young age.

​Mela's journey into the world of social media began during her first year of university when she noticed a glaring gap in the beauty industry. Despite the ever-growing popularity of makeup tutorials, there were limited resources catering to the needs of black and dark-skinned women. It became clear to her that makeup products designed for women with deeper complexions were often treated as an afterthought. This realization lit a fire within her to make a change.

​In the summer of her first year of uni, Mela embarked on an incredible journey. She decided to share her passion and knowledge by creating her YouTube channel.
